Why use a blog – What’s the point anyway?
I used to ask myself the same question: Why use a blog? Chances are, you are involved in some sort of home based business or have a business that you want to expand maybe online while looking for answers on “why use a blog ?” But WAIT -YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE A BUSINESS TO MAKE MONEY WITH A BLOG! READ THE WHOLE ARTICLE TO FIND OUT WHY!
There are so many “blogs” out there in internet land, so much competition and so much content, so why use a blog when its cluttered? Well I just answered your question! Still don’t get it? Well then let the bluesman help you understand why you absolutely NEED to use a blog for your business!
Before I get into “Why use a blog” , let us understand exactly what a blog is…
A blog is a type of website or part of a website supposed to be updated with new content from time to time. Blogs are normally maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video- Wiki 
OK bluesman can you elaborate? Sure thing bud I can! A blog is basically a website that explains what you have to offer, news, gossip, reviews and events! Just think about it. How did you actually get here? Most of you came from Google or Facebook! On Google you entered a keyword somewhat to why use a blog in the search engine. You found this post in the search results and there you go! Or maybe you posted your blog post on Facebook and one of your friends “liked” it and went a little viral!
Do you realize how much traffic I get from just one post? Why use a blog ? Well just realize if you post on a consistent basis for example : 4 posts a week! That would add up to 208 posts a year! Now I am going to be conservative here and say out get per post 20 people a day from that post. That would add up to 4160 people on your BLOG! That may not seem like a lot of people but believe me go and try to get over 4000 people to what you have to offer or your product or service! I didn’t even delve into the returning folks that actually like coming back! Or even other sources of traffic!
Still why use a blog ? Traffic = $$$
Let’s face it, the more folks you get to your product or service the more you will sell (also depends on your funnel system- basically how you sell the people on what you offer) Now you do not have to have a business, product or service to make money on a blog! You can use affiliate products which basically means you sell other peoples services or products! Blogging is very powerful and can literally change your life! If you are consistent then you can become a little online celebrity and then your set for life
Why Use a Blog – The problem!
Yes there is a problem when starting a blog! Its a little more to it then just posting content! People get overwhelmed with the techie stuff and never actually get to blogging. They pick the “wrong” blogging platforms to start with and then they are doomed. OK not really doomed but will have not so much success with it.
