Before I go on with some tips on prospecting, I want to tell you a quick story! Believe me brother or sista It’s very very worth reading this story. It’s going to show you exactly tips on prospecting and exactly what NOT to do on Facebook, when prospecting.
Usually I spend around 1- 2 hours a day on Facebook. I do this full time so I do have the time to spend on Facebook. OK OK wait.. when I am on Facebook, I am not posting what I just ingested this morning or planting the latest vegetable on farm ville ! I am either on the look out, connecting with like minded individuals and prospecting! That’s basically it! Of course I post things about my life, because that’s very important that the prospects you are connecting with, see the REAL you! People love to see what you do and what your all about! Videos work wonders a well! That’s one of the tips on prospecting!
Back to my story…. Tips On Prospecting done gone wrong
I was doing my usual routine on Facebook. I checked some of my messages and seen a message from a fellow Network Marketer ( Note:) I was not friends with this person yet!
Here is a snapshot of the message I received — oh boy this person needs to learn more tips on prospecting doesn’t he? (For privacy I had to get rid of this person’s name and pic)
This will be one of the most powerful tips on prospecting you will ever learn!
DONT take the “NETWORK” out of Network Marketing! Now it’s probably not this persons fault and I can guarantee you that this person doesn’t make any money the way this individual is prospecting. You need to build relationships first. This is what I would have done if I was in this person’s shoes!
First of all I would have sent a friend request with a message! Notice how this dude or dudette (privacy thing again) asked…
I was wondering if you are still looking for a way to better your opportunity
Now I don’t even know this person! Never seen or talked or had any contact whatsoever! What a wrong move right there
I would have said
Hey Name, I see your an Entrepreneur! I have been following your posts (or you can say checking you out) and I want to say I like your style! I am also an Entreprenuer! I would love to connect here on Facebook and share ideas! How long have you been doing Network Marketing? To your abundance – Frank J Marino the Bluesman Of MLM
See how powerful this is? One of the best tips on prospecting while using Facebook!
What you want to do is ask a question and it positions your prospect to answer! If your prospect doesn’t answer just cancel the friend request after 1 or 2 weeks. Then you know that you really would not want to do business anyway if they can’t even respond! Make sure you ask an open question! No “yes” or “no” questions! You want to find out their deep deep needs!
When utilizing these tips on prospecting.. Remeber Do not take the “network” out of network marketing!
